Thank you all for the feedback. I have Superflex non leveling caulk on the way and the Eternabond tape arrived yesterday (2"x50'), I thought about applying the tape to both sides of the trailer just to keep it even, I'm a symmetrical kind of guy. It is at the dealers currently to have an estimate for repairs just in case I want to make a claim, so I was unable to take a pic. The 2" tape would more than cover the damage and then caulk the edges is what was recommended by the roof manufacturer. (alpha) The dealer mentioned a new roof is likely but the final estimate has not come back yet.
I am torn.(no pun intended) I personally would not want to buy a TT with a known roof problem/fix. Also, when I talked to my insurance guy he said that it should not affect my rates if I file a claim. Famous last words! If I trade in the trailer in a few years with Eternabond tape on the sides of the roof, will that effect the value of my trade?
I am just trying to look at all the options here.........
Again, this forum has been extremely helpful, thank you.
