Beside all the correct advice you have gotten so far about your truck and proposed trailer.....
If you are going to full time with a family you really need to look at a trailer with much more than 1500 lbs of carrying capacity...Enough stuff, even basics, to full time will put you way over that number.
Your plan is do-able, but you need a different trailer and a bigger truck.
Good luck with it. You are smart to be doing what you are doing....researching BEFORE you leap.
