New to us Truck Camper

We have been full timing for 6 years and love the life style. The problem is we have a 40 foot toyhauler and a Harley Trike Pulled by a GMC Crew Cab Dually. A lot of places we could not get into because of length. A couple we know was buying a Moterhome and selling their truckcamper. We bought it Our first. 2003 Ford F450 with a custom aluminum flatbed, a 2008 990s Artic Fox camper. I checked on the net at several sites trying to get a good idea of what the rig was worth. We did not steal it but feel we got a good deal. Now to outfit the rig and take our first trip. We kept the 40 foot toyhauler it is home, we have it in a private park in south Texas where we winter.
  • Now you have the ultimate rig. Put your Harley into a box that protects it from the weather, put only about 150 more pounds onto your trailer hitch, and enjoy the freedom of being able to go almost everywhere your heart desires.
  • Yeppers... you'll get around a whole lot easier with the TC. It's the SUV of RVs. If there's one campsite left in a campground, you'll fit. Of course, with two people, there will be a lot of "excuse me(s)"; with three... it's "get the hell out of my way!"; four... and you'll have to go outside just to change your mind. But, they are hard to beat for extensive travel. Enjoy!
  • Congrats on camper, I like the freedom of it dropping it at site, hauling a boat ect.
