Forgot to mention but the braking distances can vary considerably with trucks and SUV's and if one goes 25% further to stop from 65 MPH then it will be even worse with a trailer in any emergency braking situation.
My first choice by a wide margin would be a Toyota Sequoia. Toyota builds them better and they are more reliable which is important for any use but even more so for a tow vehicle.
