10 speed in the Super Duty???
Ford and GM have been sharing development of 10sp trannys for a few years.
I have not seen anything about Ford discontinuing the normally aspirated 6.2L in favor of a 5.0L EB. Not that that wouldn't be great but ................
I can see me keeping my '06 for a while yet. No way I can afford a mortgage payment to buy one of these trucks new. Guess I'll wait for a few years for a slightly used off lease, gently used unit for half the price :B
Good luck with that from what I found all the gently used trucks that were a few years old with low miles were discounted $5-7k off new. Add 10 years and 120k plus miles and you could save $15k, but that wasn't worth it to me. I just bought new instead. Keep the goodies reasonable and you can get a pretty good price on a new diesel from avidly me dealer.
I found the same thing when looking for trucks last year, there just wasn't enough spread between new and used on the trucks.
Well I had to look............and in my neck of the woods here in Ontario that is not the case. With a little effort I could easily find decently loaded trucks with around 60000 miles/120000kms on the clock going for less than half what they would have walked out of the dealership for, never mind what I could peel off a dealer with a little work. Add a Ford ESP onto that and Bob's your uncle. Me I'm not afraid of that mileage, it's a diesel and most if not all decently loaded diesels around here the "Boss" drives or it's even used as a grocery getter for the well heeled.
but hey, what ever you have to tell DW to get what you want :B
