Those are the towing mirrors they now use. They flip like the older ones but are larger and have a convex mirror that spans the entire short side. When you flip the mirror, the control senses the orientation change and the power mirror buttons work as expected. The mirrors stick out the same amount whether landscape or portrait, so it does not slim down the cab width when your truck is not towing. I find the convex is useless for me when the mirror is flipped down and prefer Ford's and GM's telescoping mirrors that always remain in portrait orientation.
