My wife & I have been camping on a seasonal site since 1993. We have had 5 trailers (all bought new) in that time. Three of the trailers have had slideouts. We open the slideouts April 1 and close them October 15. So far we haven't had any problems. The unit we have now is a 2014 Wildwood Lodge destination trailer. It has a king size bed with a dresser at the foot of the bed. The bed has a metal frame. In order to close the bedroom slideout the mattress and bed frame has to be stood up against the dresser. So it would be a pain to close the slideouts every time we leave the camper for several days.
