Ours was just inside the 1 year warranty period and we had some issues with the front wall. Fleetwood came and picked it up from us on LI and towed it to Western MD, took 3 months to fix it, and brought it back fully repaired. Good thing this was Jan-march, not during camping season. Fleetwood folded up the following month and padlocked all of their facilities...talk about right under the wire....
The only explanation I got was that they "forgot a few fasteners"....
Buying an RV is a completely different experience from buying a car...these things are all hand built without the same level of robotics that put cars toegther. Best thing the mfr can do is take it back to the factory, take it apart to fix what's wrong, and effectively re-build it. Owners that have had to send units back to the factory report that they come back "better than new", so I wouldn't sweat issues with re-sale or anything like that.
