Wow - That update is very unfortunate. I can only imagine your frustration level.
I would continue to press for a number for trade from dealer. I would be very concerned about manufacturer's ability to get the job done correctly even if they did extend the warranty. In your estimation how much of the work is complete? How much of the completed work is done correctly?
I don't know what you wrote that needed to be deleted but I would ramp up efforts down that path.
