Do you have carpet in the leaky slide?
Yes
Just an fyi, our new 2013 tt had a floor level leak. Damaged carpet and trim around slide. Pressure test was done- nothing found. Fortunately a very savvy rv tech found the carpet on the slide was "sticking out a bit" when slide was extended. They trimmed carpet back and applied some caulk behind seal to divert water away from moving toward a small opening. No problems since. The carpet will wick a ton of water and can take some time before it's noticeable. Hope my description makes sense.
Ahhhh... You know, this is most excellent as when I looked under the slide I could see carpet. I will be sure to tell the dealer this as possibly the cause. Thanks!!!

On your list of failures you can expect the awning will not be fixed… if it bent due to rain as you say one of two things was wrong… it wasn’t deployed tight, or it didn’t have enough tilt to it… I know you said you had it tilted but water just cannot run up hill… it backs up and the water weight creates a pond that stretches the vinyl until the tube can no longer support it… if the fabric was tight and with enough tilt the hardest of rains just run off…
I do hope you get the rest of your problems solved, but was wondering what happened between the time it was returned to the mfg., and while there they quit working on it and refused to restore the warranty or do more repairs… there seems to be a big gaping hole in this transaction…
Without mentioning things that are not allowed , could that have anything to do with you now saying it came back no better and maybe worse???
Is the dealer working with you the selling dealer??? And a local dealer??? Somehow I sense we are not getting the whole story from you, and I am not talking about brands or names… the same problems you are having has been experienced by people that own almost every brand, and has not been capitalized by a single brand...
Well, the awning is a sore subject with me. The factory didn't cover it, but insurance did. I had to pay $100 deductible. Again, have been camping pretty much my whole life, there was tilt on the awning as much as any other camper had. Their awnings were still intact in the morning, mine was not. A buddy of mine, also a camper, stopped by the night before this happened and after I told him what happened he couldn't beleive it either. The awning manufacture Care Free inspected the awning and said it had to be hit to bend like it did and that's actually what they wrote in the insurnace claim... Nevermind the fact that I wasn't even under any trees or anything...
What happened is this. It was sent to the factory and they refused to even discuss restoring my warranty. They kept telling me to see the repairs first that top quality craftsman were working on it. The camper sat for 2 weeks as I had no communications with them. They wouldn't return emails or phone calls, people were on conference calls, traveling, etc. I told them I wanted these items in writting before they started the repairs. Well, low and behold they just went and started the repairs. Again, phones call and emails from me were unanswered to the point that it was during the Hershey RV show, about 45 minutes from my house. I went there expecting to get kicked out of the show and/or needed bail money... I spoke to the dealer who we bought it from while we were there and they assured me it was in good hands, although told me I was frustrating their customer service department from the question and concerns (as if I was at fault for being concerned about the condition of new camper)(Oh, was also told that 'most' people are just happpy it was being fixed). So I backed off some and just let them do their thing. BTW - all my concerns with these repairs basically turned out to be valid. Anyway, in no way was I rude or anything like that in any of communications. So we pull into the Hershey Show and I check my phone and have an email from customer service, with an update and pictures showing basically the floor of my camper no "box" and then the camper with the slides removed. I was told it might be done next week, and then it was next week and the week after and then a few more days. When I asked if something else was going on I got nothing. Finally when asked for an update again, I was told it was done but they weren't going to release it until I sent them the insurance check for the awning... Funny thing there was in the unanswered emails I asked what I should do about such check... They wouldn't even take care of the $100 deductible for me, but my dealer actually paid for it or got it waved. The final straw was they delivered it back to the dealer instead of my house where they picked it up, so the dealer dropped it off for me...
The dealer is 2-3 hours from my house so not local, local, but it is the dealer I bought it from.
Hope this clears it up... :)
Also, thanks again for that carpet tip...
