Get used to running it that way you will use your service brakes very little. Even with towing 15K or so at 33-35K combined my brakes at 52K on the clock look GREAT. Also you won't feel like it's lugging when wanting to accelerate at any speed. I will agree it will use a bit more fuel just running around but I am fine with that.

When everyone was bitching about their 68RFE shifting too soon I had ZERO issues with my 11 HO Dually. Service Manager at DaveSmith said run the hell out of it. I did and had great oil reports and trans performance.

Do what you want as I will and I will give good solid advice as I am sure you will also.

So which is it? Run the hell out of it or not abuse it? I'm confused! :B

BTW.... Nice truck and the advice to run a 6.7 with the exhaust break on at all times was to prevent turbo soot build up which you shouldn't have to with this truck.

Congrats on the truck she looks sweet!You might want to go over to Crutchfield if you want to buy an upgrade for your radio. If I were to buy a vehicle that needed an upgrade to the sound system that is were I go. At least for the head system. You can get a lot of bang for the buck. If you want a high end head unit go all the way to the bottom and look at the Alpine X009-RAM In-Dash Restyle System
Navigation receiver — custom-fit replacement radio with 9" screen for select 2013-up Ram trucks. It is pricey but it is worth it.

If you want to stay it the 8.4A or 8.4AN (nav)you might want to look at salvage yards for a radio. To get full functionality of the head unit you may need to make a trip to the dealer to have the BCM flashed for the upgraded unit.

Just note You will need to unbolt or cut out the factory radio's rear support bracket to make room for the larger after market head unit.

There is a place about 3 hours from me that does the 8.4 upgrade for around $1500, but coming from an 03 Ram this one is great.

A company called infotainment.com sells 8,4 radio’s. Its very easy to remive your 5.0 and replace with the 8.4

My ‘16 SLT did not come with the 8,4. I don’t think it was even an option. I think you had to get a Big Horn or above to get the 8,4.
