People know very little about Mexico. Mexico will be one of the top ten world economies in the next five years.
So I take offense to the comment "The only infrastructure in Mexico is the drug cartels and vacation resorts."
A statement which is negative about a North American country, the second largest consumer of U.S. goods next to the U.S. itself. Mexico is the United States’ second-largest export market (after Canada) and third-largest trading partner (after Canada and China) This comes from your own U.S. governmental state department. Mexican tourists to the U.S. were over 14 million in 2013, and they spent an estimated $10.5 billion.
Keep in mind, this is an international forum and there are many people from many different countries who read this forum everyday.
Besides, who is the largest consumer of the cartels products?
Flush out your drug cartel and perhaps Mexico could prosper. Your government is corrupt and again is controlled by the cartel.
A large group of friends and associates used to participate in a dove hunting club in Mexico and spent major $$$$ there supporting a ranch and the ranch manager and the helpers. After a group of hunters were raided by a group of cartel cowboys that stole all their guns and money the hunting club decided it was time to say Adios.
Again I spoken to quite of few people who travel to Mexico for both business and vacation which vacation is now off limits and they fear travelling on business.
You got a big mess to clean up my friend!
