I had one of the first Mecacabs in 2006. Mine was 1500 but it was just a marketing bluff. Underneath it was a 2500 chasis, GVW was 8510, payload about 2100. I added illuminated running boards, amber lights below the bumper, and the cab lights, it was a beast. My 2 small kids (back then) were running around the cab with the seats down.
It was not so good with plowing, way too long :)
