  • I am going the put one in on my TT BUT Lippert came up with a new design no screws, it is a press fit and takes 16 plastic release tools to remove and I was quoted $52 with Shipping. Heres the link.

Does that one have the built in blind like the OP's product does?

I installed the same product as the OP because I wanted to have glass I could see through and also have a nice blind. It's a surprisingly well made unit.
The sealant is pre-applied and with an electric drill it only takes about 15 minutes to install. The part that takes the longest is removing the old putty.
  • With outward opening screen doors, you'll need to open the door prior to raising the blind. No quick view out the back with this.
  • I put in a clear door window and put a shade on the screen door to block off window at night.

I did the same as this in my Northern Lite. I can now raise the blind to see out the clear glass without the need to open the door first.
  • Me too. Bought a piece of clear tempered glass for $22 and had it filmed at 18% for another $20. Then a $12 roller blind from Ikea so $54 total investment :-)
  • First and foremost,I like you mod..They should put those on all RV's.

Having lived in RV's for years, I can say that the biggest weather leak for cold or hot air is the door,so I prefer the full shade(top to floor) over the door. While it is weak,it helps...
