Before OBD and OBD2 they had to get the manufacturers to agree on a common "language" so the code reader could read all brands of trouble codes.
I don't believe there is such an agreed upon "language" yet between aftermarket/RV camera manufacturers.
They are starting to put them in cars and trucks as standard equipment.
It will probably be up to the RV industry and camera manufacturers to make their equipment compatible with factory onboard cameras.
