We haul a heavy camper with a 3/4 ton also. I have tried a variety of suspension mods. If I were starting again the first mod I would make for a 3/4 ton are SS's.
Spring rate is the weak spot in 3/4 tons.
SS's are adjustable (not so with add a leaf from a shop).
SS's are MUCH less expensive than a spring shop
SS's can be installed yourself in 1 hr...
For a 1 ton you usually have upper and lower overloads which can be dialed in with the various spring extenders.
On a 3/4 ton you likely have either lower or upper overloads...not both...and need to add to the spring rate.
