Ahhh The names Placerville and El Dorado are bringing back memories from the past. Used to live in Shingle Springs back in the early 70's. Made that long grade run out of Sacremento every day from the work site in my trusty ole Jeep for over a year... We finally moved to Rancho Cordova...
Came in from work one snowy day and parked my Jeep at the house in Shingle Springs which the driveway was a bit on an incline. Woke up the next morning and didn't see my Jeep sitting in the driveway. Over night it had slide down the slick incline and completely into the ditch across the road out of sight hehe... I finally got out of the ditch and headed out for work...
Was just a couple hours late for work and of course no one believed my story...
