NL 2006 battery requirement

Hi,

Just bougth a 2006 NL 6'10''. And to be honnest I don't know much about truck camper. Now I have to buy a battery for it and I'm wondering what's the basic battery requirement (volt and amp) that I need. I'm planning on using my NL during winter and I'm planning on using only propane for the frig.

So any tips from you will be more than welcome!
  • Hi and Welcome to the Northern Lite Family,

I don't know the answer because I not aware of a 6'10" model. I looked on Northern Lite Website; went to their Brochures Section and didn't find any 2006 section. Your best answer will come from the factory by calling Keith Donkin at 250-765-3702 or 800-887-5342. Keith is the General Manager. He is very friendly and will gladly answer all your answers.

    Welcome aboard,
    LeRoy
  • Wifenix,

    Welcome to the forums.

A twelve volt true deep cycle battery, or if there is room, two golf cart six volt jars.

There is a wonderful thread on winter camping in the full time forum. It covers the information needed. I've boondocked at -37 C (-34 f)

...or 2 12 volt jars wired in parallel.
