Noisy water pump

We have a new 2014 Winnabago Minnie and when I run the water pump it makes more noise than I've ever heard in all the trailers we're owned. It's a Flojet pump. All my others were Sureflo. And one know if this is common with these pumps?

  • Nothing like a nice stroll though the campground in the evening listening to the howl of the flowjet.

I went through every thing to make sure nothing was touching etc. They're all flexable lines. I'm just thinking its the nature of those pumps.

Every body who commented didn't say they had a Flojet pump. Only that a Shurflo solved the problem

Yeah I did all of that. As well as put insulation around all of the water hoses and then I put foam around the faucet inlets and then I zip tied all the water lines that were even close to something that they might bang on when I turned on the water. After screwing with it for weeks I just bought the new pump. Problem solved man I can't even hear it run now.

  • I had the same problem with my water pump I replaced it with a shurflow 4048 problem solved. When I got my cougar I couldn't believe how noisy the pump was. But the 4048 fixed all of that it's a bit pricey but well worth the money.
