You live in CA. Your beer tastes different than our beer to begin with. More Alcohol in it. If you take out the alcohol, its really going to taste watery to you.
I have tried a few USA non alcohol beers, wife was prego, never found one that had any flavor. I have Bud, along with CA beers in Ontario every year. CA beer has much stronger flavor than USA beers. Maybe you will find a CA NA beer thats acceptable, but I doubt you will find a USA beer that will be anywhere close to your beers.
BTW as a Wisconsinite, I love Canadian beer.
