NOOB question 2014 Tundra Towing 7500 pd Trailer

Ok I have a 2014 TRD Tundra 4x4 Double Cab Factroy HD tow package new BFG ta KO2 tires E, looking at pulling a 7500 pd Kodiak 300bhsl With WDH , I am installing a brake controller p3 also. Am I gonna be ok with this trailer , Im getting a awfully good deal on it ? Im not interested in buying the biggest truck. I know towing on my truck is maxed at like 9800 pds . I would like some honest opinions , but I dont wanna get into the whole argument that you need a 2500 to do every job and that a 1500 is only good for towing nothing more than a small trailer . If you own a Tundra and are using it to tow I would like to hear from you . Just a note the guy is pulling it now with a 2010 Nissan Armada with know issues. :h

Thanks
  • Double cab. Taking the family? How much does the truck weigh with everybody in it? Now add the tongue weight (#1000?) My guess is that you'll be well over the payload spec on the Tundra.
