Okay, the UVAS campground I was thinking about won't work due to space limitations (unless our group size was 12 campers). Skipro3 I appreciate the enthusiasm with Roaring Camp and will very likely take my girls there for the day as it sounds awesome but I would prefer to plan a rally where the focus is more on us socializing and relaxing as a group of truck campers.
I've found this place that looks really interesting:
https://www.hipcamp.com/california/jug-handle-creek-farm/jug-handle-creek-farm
A short description: "Jug Handle Creek Farm and Nature Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) nature education center and overnight lodging facility that serves as a gateway to Jug Handle State Reserve and the world’s largest intact Pygmy Forest Ecological Staircase. Our 39 acres include a native plant nursery, community gardens, forests, meadows, and nature trails."
The great thing about them is they are just a few minutes away from the beach by hiking. I'm currently talking to the owner about a group rate to book the entire farm for three nights. To make this work though, we would need a minimum of 20 firm (paid) commitments before I would book their place. (EDIT: I gave an estimated cost previously in this post but I'm removing it because it was a bit premature as I'm still working on the details. Check the initial thread for updates).
What do you guys think?
