Chris, how much did the Camper weigh ready for the weekend?
Can't remember. The Chevy was bagged, the RAM was not. Over 3K for sure, most likely close to 3500-4000.
From an older post here by someone:
"Lance 900 which is 11' 3" long ad weighs a little over 4,000 lbs loaded and with 50 gallons of water." - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIChris, how much did the Camper weigh ready for the weekend?

Still running the factory brakes.
New fuel pump at 180,000.
Miscellaneous items and regular maintenance.
Doesn't use a drop of oil between oil changes
and that's carrying the 4000 lb camper fulltime.
It sure has been and still is a great truck.
The truck in this picture does not seem capable of carrying a camper of this size, especially 240,000 miles?
Well how about this one then, a move from a 1976 K20 to a 1993 W250, all from days before duallies became the go to truck. And before the RV.net weight police became a national police organization!

Is that truck rated to carry that camper weight?? Looks like a short bed truck without dully wheels and I doubt it can handle that!!
The green truck posted just above is a LONG bed. Hey bags will carry anything! Likes to tow wrote:

If you're talking about the OP's truck, it's a long bed 2500HD with a 6.0 gas engine. I had a similar truck, an older generation with a lower GVWR compared with the OP's. Despite this, it's payload rating was nearly 4000 lbs. With 240K on the clock I would say the truck has "handled it" just fine!- Grit_dogTrailblazer

If you’re referring to the green truck, simmer down. There’s a statue of limitations on how old of iron that self appointed unobservant weight cops can complain about and that one’s past the time limit to be eligible for anyone to complain about…lol - Is that truck rated to carry that camper weight?? - Grit_dogTrailblazerThe old camper hauler pics are cool!
Maybe we can pickup (no pun intended, lol) where the broken Ram TC hauler left off since it got padlocked? Seems this old iron can handle a load!
