Not so. I recently took my FR TT that I purchased elsewhere to a nearby dealer to get some warranty done.
BTW, the dealer that did the warranty work doesn't even carry the line of FR TTs that I have.
Your incorrect, it even is stated in the manual. Just because they have the right to refuse it, doesn't mean that they will. Some dealers need the money, even if it's from lower paying warranty work, and will take it. My local dealer did a year later under a different service manager. The prior year, and previous manager said they had no time to do other dealers work since their own customers come first.
