You incorrectly stated "Forest River states you must take it to the selling dealer for warranty..." FR may encourage the use of the selling dealer for warranty work but it's not mandatory.
There are plenty of RV owners here that have purchased RVs from the large wholesalers in order to save many thousands of dollars and haven't had problems getting warranty work done on their units. Same thing with travelers that need to get warranty work done when they are away from home and selling dealer.
I'm sure there may be some instances where some RV owners weren't able to get warranty work done at non-selling dealers, but I'm willing to bet they probably live in areas with limited dealers and independent repair facilities.
The dealers have done a very good job at instilling the fear of not being able to get their RVs serviced on uninformed buyers. And unfortunately, many people in this forum keep propagating this myth, even after being debunked by many of us.
You MUST take it to the selling dealer if other dealers won't do the warranty work, which is the case sometimes.
As far as RVwholesalers and the such, they have a dealer network through them, not Forest River. They arrange to have other dealers do their work.
