After reading your other posts, there could be some question as that 8700 tow capacity being accurate.
It's possible, your actual tow rating is much lower than 8700.
If that 8700, is correct for max listed tow capacity, you still don't have 8700 lbs capacity after you put on the hitch and get into the drivers seat. Everything and everybody you put in or on the vehicle, take away payload and tow capacity, pound for pound. The hitch took about 100 lbs. You, your family, and any cargo will take another XXX lbs.
You could easily get down to 8000 lbs (maybe less) tow capacity. The GVWR of the trailer is 8500.
You should verify all those numbers (payload, GVWR, tow capacity, etc) on the Lincoln. Even if they are correct, that trailer is a stretch for it.
