Seems you just heard the motor working for the first time. I'll bet you have never heard it rev before. Let it rev. It like it. the 5.4 does not make it's power until it starts turning some RPM. It is very happy at 2600 RPM on the highway. I had a Expedition, Same as the Navi, older though. I towed our 6000lb+ TT with it. It loved to run at 65 MPH while towing. If I didn't watch it. It would settle in at 65 every time, and run there all day.
