Well, I'm not sure how to feel about this morning's outing but let me address two things first. The TW on my vehicle is 8700 lbs (I have the L 4X2). Also, if changing the TV wasn't an option, I would consider the more expensive hitch.
The vehicle did perform better this morning but now I'm not really sure that's a good thing. I think I had convinced my husband that we needed to trade for a truck but he thought it handled fine so what's the big deal?
Bottom line - - a newer model used truck is in my near future but I'm going to have to work on the husband.
Lessons from backing--I do better backing and my husband does better with spotting.
