If the rig in your signature, Outback Terrain 299TBH, means it is a 29 foot trailer?
The Navigator has Too short of a wheelbase for a 29 foot TT.
I did a 20 foot TT with a Tahoe that has the exact same wheel base as your Nav and it is a case of the tail wagging the dog. And it's not going to change any time soon no matter what gadgets you put on it as long as you continue to use the Navigator as you tow vehicle.
I'm also guessing you are WAY over the weight that Nav is even rated to tow if your TT is a 29 footer! :W
:) Hi, this might be splitting hairs for you, but The Lincoln has a 119" wheel base and the Tahoe has a 116" wheel base. I would not consider that as "Exactly the same."
Many people do it, but I wouldn't tow a 29'er or any trailer weighing more than 7,000 lbs with my Lincoln.
The OP has a Navigator L (long wheel base). the Navi is more than capable of handling a 7500lb 30+ foot TT! the OP just isn`t used to feeling any extra weight on the Navi, so it feels weird to her to have to push down on the pedal harder to maintain any hwy speed. she has not complained about towing instability!
She will get the same feeling in a 3/4 ton truck.
