We cheated on our first trip, the DW and I had never towed a TT. So we found the size we thought we wanted and rented one. It was two years old and very nice. We had an F-150 and were headed for 10 days in the Ozarks.
Well we learned a lot, like what it felt like to pull a barn down the road, was this TT big enough for what we wanted to do, the 200 hp. V6 would have to be replaced, truck wakes like to buffet you and when your top speed is 62 on the flat and 50 in the hills, everything is going to pass you on the Interstate.
It was a fun trip but definitely a learning experience. We were better able to list our preferences, from floor plan to TV.
