A 200 hp v6, anyone remember when the BB 454/460's had all of 195HP? a std motor in a 2500 was a 105hp 292/300 ci 1bbl 6 cyl?!?!?!?!? You want to talk about going sloowwwwww!
The real issue I see is how much does the family weigh, mom's purse, hw of the trailer, mom's purse etc. If the navi is overloaded with this, mom has an issue. If it is not overloaded, then her speeds etc, STILL meet the new SAE tow rating performance specs. They may not meet your personal specs. But if she is going over 40 mph on a 5% grade, then she is with in the sae manufactures tow rating spec!
At this time, I do not see ANY safety reasons for a new rig, other than potentially having to use the go pedal to make the thing move. so now one is into a LARGER disp motor, or a diesel.........
I will admit, I would feel better if it were me, with an 8 lug 25 series chassis vs the navi chassis. As I like to tow no more than 2x the grawr of the tow rig in total trailer wt. I have not looked at the navi specs, but will swag it has at best a 4K grwr, so for my any how, no matter what the manufacture engineers/lawyers etc say, I would not tow more than an 8K trailer, assuming I am able to keep the TV gvwr in check. the drive train she has, in a 2500 would not bother me, nor does it with in the navi......
Just my 02 on this subject.
