I like messin with things I understand everything can't be perfect but one would think after spending a substantial amount of money on a new TT that something as important as valve stems would have been looked at. This leads me to believe the dealer NEVER checked tire pressure during prep. Tire failure can be a serious issue at highway speed. They were so bad I almost didn't tow it back I was gonna call them and have them come to the house. The way this dealer handles this will determine if we have any further dealings.
Well I have had dealers that do a great PDI and I have had dealers that do a mediocre PDI. I have had dealers that the guy with the earphones attached to the iPhone with the PDI list in hand checking things off might as well never came near the RV. He was ticking but he sure wasn't checking anything.
Every dealer that I have had uses a PDI checklist and the customer generally has to sign off that he agrees with the work performed. I would bet a dollar to a donut that the PDI included a check of the tire pressure and if the valve stems were that bad then yes it should have been fixed then and there. I try to check for water/drain leaks and a few of the other major items but unless you spend the better part of a day there going over it thoroughly then you won't find most of the items that probably need fixed.
Just one of life's little annoyances that one must contend with in the RV world. I too bought a 2012 in 2013 which had several issues after the PDI and developed even more after I took it home. There were so many issues that the dealer took it back on trade for a 2015 that I ordered from the factory. Do I think that the PDI on this new unit will be any better? Maybe...maybe not. Only time will tell.
Someone earlier gave you very good advise. You need to be calm but make it known that you are serious. Hang in there and I hope it all works out for you.
