I think Stanley gets the medal for coldest location in Idaho. They are at about 6500 feet. Those Sawtooths are some damn cold mountains. They have white on them all year long (Redfish lake area). Salmon can also get cold but the elevation is actually a little lower. I am about 90 miles from Yellowstone, and it get cold here as well. Drive 4 hours to Boise and they barely know what Winter means. I came from North Dakota but after being here for so long I have gotten "soft", 15 below actually feels cold now.
