Hello Mr. Cob
I researched HDT's a while back and I have given it lots of consideration. Do you have a toad vehicle? How do you like driving around in the HDT once you arrive at your destination.
Many claim it's no big deal, but I can't imagine there are absolutely no issues.
What's your bob tail experience been like.
I drive mine all over doing errands ,but it is PONDEROUS .A old timer on the escapees used a volvo 610 as their ONLY vehicle for a few years most don't. You can carry just about anything on the back,I have seen full size suv's mounted on a 45 * back behind the sleeper.
Quieter then my ol' 7.3 and much much more comfortable ,these over the road guys have been keeping a secret from us.
Sounds like you do not have a toad?
I really like the idea, but just like a 40'MH I imagine a toad is a must. Otherwise there will be times when the HDT will be too big to get around in. REgular errands I imagine you can get away with the HDT most times. A trip downtown or to a metro residential area could be problematic. 6-7 MPG running errands could also add up!
Mostly true ,but it is more manuverable then a long bed dually (wheel cut is 55*) the hight is something always on your mind.
Mileage is suprising 12+ bobtail and 9.5 towing. thats a u.s. gallon.
As for a toad (carry on),havent decided yet ,leaning to a smart car or 3 wheel motorcycle like a can-am.
