I have a Cummins ISC 8.3L. I get around 9.5 bobtail and 7.5 towing a 14k fiver. Just the weight of the truck (11.2k) alone is another safety and comfort feature. I used to be extremely tired after a day's towing with my old truck. Now, with an air hitch, air ride, air cab and air seat, it's a piece of cake.

Oh, and when I lived in Seattle, the Granite Falls area was one of my fave camping places.
