The sooner you go big, the cheaper in the long run your towing will be, I am not a full timer but it sure makes my trips more enjoyable. The money I spent trying to build my one ton into the truck I needed would in all probability buy all the diesel fuel I'll burn till I am through with this part of my life.
Do some research before you buy! Offhand, I was told that plates in this state would be $1300 per year. (That's not a typo!)

In this you are correct, each State is different, in Washington because my HDT is registered as a motor home yearly tabs cost $47.50 Like when making ANY major purchase, DO YOUR HOMEWORK and KNOW what your getting into.
