Most trucks I drove were sticks some with split axles, and low/high ranges so the idea of sitting back and letting the computer and elf's do the work for me sounds really appealing.
Those elves do a remarkably good job too, employing little "old trucker" tricks like momentarily hitting the jake brake to help with uphill shifting. The only thing I don't like about the 3 pedal Autoshift that I've driven is that the computer won't let you select a gear higher than 3rd to start out in. Sometimes running empty it would be nice to start out in 4th or 5th.
