I've been looking at the class 8 tractor option. Right now (still employed) we do most of our RV travel miles in Jan/Feb on I-15.
What are your thoughts about traction in less than ideal conditions?
When you are loaded and hooked up ready for the road what weight are you carrying on your tractor's drive axle?
Any reason a guy couldn't single the rear axle to increase traction on snow and ice? Single rear (winter) tires would be good to carry up to 12,000 - 13,000lbs same as the steer axle...
