06fargo re 'singling' if you mean remove inside tire from the duels?I have seen the inside tire removed from a RV hauler (the wheel remains) cuts down on costs at replacement time ,I imagine the ride would be a bit better.I myself would avid snow just to avoid salt exposure.
Singling also means the power divider axle/drive is removed and only a 'single' drive axle remains.

Drive axle weight with trailer is 12000# as per CAT scale
