Howdy All,
I know this is an old thread that I started long ago, however I thought you might want to see what I am now towing with the HDT. My old Weekend Warrior was falling apart, I traded it in on a new Voltage 3818 toy hauler, 44 feet ling, 18 foot garage, I love it.

Nice combination. I also needed 18' or more of garage cut could not afford to upgrade my toy hauler with 16' and the truck at the same time. We kept the truck and replaced the toy hauler with a truck camper and 20' enclosed trailer. My combination's overall length is 45' which is about the same length of just your FW.
With a HDT as a tow vehicle and that much FW behind you, where do you camp? One of our concerns with going that big was the limits on where we could could stay in tight forested areas or public parks (I don't live that far from you). We would have no problems heading into the deserts of eastern WA or southern CA, but I couldn't imagine going to Deception Pass or Camino Island with your setup.
Howdy Bedlam,
I used to haul a BigFoot 3000 camper on my Dodge and towed a 16 foot enclosed tandem axle trailer behind. With that setup I could "just" fit my toys and it was tight. Sold the camper went to the first 5th wheel, now have moved to a larger trailer. I never did do a lot of camping in the small camp grounds, I do lot of BLM camping in the southwest and places like Death Valley or stay in camp grounds that have large pull throughs most of the rallies I attend are headquartered in fair grounds so I don't have any problems parking in such places. That said you would be surprised the places I can put this combination into, I have more problems with low hanging trees then anything else. If I can make the turn I can put her in.
