Yes it works well. It will allow you to create many different gauges depending on your vehicle. I have an old droid that I use a monitor. You can also reset codes with it.

Now if only CAT had one....

If you get the torque PRO app (5 dollars) it works on the Ford diesels well. You can set up with ICP reading as well while driving down road. Neat and I use it on all our cars too. Blue tooth works great and I can run live data as you drive plus clear codes. Yes thiks works on Powerstroke Diesel

I have not seen any application for iOS that is anything close to Torque Pro for Android. You can pick up a pre-paid wireless andtroid-based phone for $50, never make any calls and use as a Torque Pro display only plus $5 app and $15 bluetooth receiver.
