We have stayed at Lakewood and Ocean Lakes this past year. We are going back to Lakewood this summer for a week. We liked the High Steppin Country Show in their oceanfront amphitheater, free tickets are included in the campsite price. Behind the stage you look out on the ocean. Very nice. They have included in site price, paddle boats, 3 water tube slides, mini golf, bikes. We were 9 spots from the ocean. All you can eat fish fry on 2 nights and the food we tried at other on site eateries were good. Staff was nice, bathrooms clean. Sites are not super big but was just fine for us. Things are speed out so if you don't like walking have to rent a golf cart. Ocean Lakes seemed a bit wilder for our tastes. We enjoyed both but Lakewood more for us. Have fun!
