Exactly. If I had a dollar for evertime I've heard someone ask if their dirtbike will make more power running race gas... In theory an engine will make the most power running just above the minimum octane it requires to avoid detonation. Dumping higher octane fuel than what is needed you will only loose power due to the slower burn.
