Off-gassing duration in your FF 214WSD?

How long did it take for fumes to wear off in your Fun Finder 214WSD?

The trailer in the post was a 1996 Holiday Rambler

How long did you have it?

Our last trailer never got the smell out of it completely. In fact one of the fry pans and plastic glasses picked up the smell too.

What year model is your TT?
  • That is what I am afraid of....so I am trying to find a green trailer. Evergreen is coming to a dealer that is 30 min. from our house...will have full stock in a month's time. I guess I will wait to see those rather than driving 400 miles RT to see them in another state.

    Well....does my Fun Finder 189FDS count ? :)

Mine is a 2012. It was made in April of 2011, and sat all summer at the dealer. I bought it in Nov, 2011. Here we are in summer of '13, and if it is left closed up tight then it still has a slight bit of "new" smell, although it's mostly gone.
Right after I bought it, I installed a MaxxAir vent cover, and honestly, I leave that roof vent open all the time, unless I am inside it with either air condiontioning or heat on. The MaxxAir cover is the best money I have spent on this trailer. I can leave the vent all the way open even in a driving, windy rain or snow storm, and nothing gets in.

If the weather allows, I keep a window slightly open too.... a little flow thru ventalation.
