I guess the question I have now, is which tire/wheel combo will give the best results for hauling the camper keeping in mind I have 16 x 6.5" OEM wheels;
• 255/85R/16 Load range 123 (3415#) on the OEM 16 x 6.5” wheels (Mfg recommended 6.5”-8” rim)
• 265/75R/16 Load range 123 (3415#) on the OEM 16 x 6.5” wheels (Mfg recommended 7”-8” rim)
Do I have a better situation staying within the recommended wheel width?
I am not sure it makes much of a difference...does "pinching" the bead by being .50" under hurt your capacity?
We have been running then 265 for almost 4 yrs now...no problems...but they feel a little squirmy with the new camper.
OTH some Folks report squirm going to the tall/skinny 255/85...it's a real toss up!!!
I never ran pizza cutters before...(except my old 71 CJ 5...)
