When I went from 18" rims to 19.5", my tire height stayed the same but the sidewall was reduced. I figured most of the stability was from going from E load range to H, but sidewall height also played a role. I went from 275 width to 245's but my rim offset changed resulting in a wider track with the these thinner tires than the original wheels. The squirm I get from the tires is due to the traction tread and not from any wallow of the sidewalls.
Exactly...I am thinking the 3 ply sidewall of the ST MAXX in 265 may be just the ticket...
