These days it really doesn’t matter. Oil is unbelievably good compared to thirty years ago. Just stick with owners manual and be strict about interval.
FAIW, we run the Detroit’s in the fleet to 30k miles. That’s about 2.5-months.
I can go 15k on my 2015 Cummins also but what does your owners manual say?
Cummins12v98 also left off the 6 months max to change the oil part. It's 15k miles or 6 months whichever comes first. For most folks they time out before the mileage.
Thanks for mentioning that! Precisely WHY I do the oil analysis EVERY change while under warranty. Many other reasons but that is one.
