My pre-emissions engine can go up to 15k or one year depending on use. Oil stays clear without any heavy work. 220k miles. T-6, Baldwin oil & fuel filter. MOPAR deep air filter
These days it really doesn’t matter. Oil is unbelievably good compared to thirty years ago. Just stick with owners manual and be strict about interval.
FAIW, we run the Detroit’s in the fleet to 30k miles. That’s about 2.5-months.
My new to me 01 with 125k I just changed oil and have logged over 1,000 miles since and it's a nice brown color, NOT black. My 98 at 5k was dark brown NOT black. My 11 HO as soon as I started it and checked the next day was BLACK. My current 15 says brown to dark brown not black for thousands of miles.
