2011 and newer require the use of a synthetic blend or full syn. Do not use the old 15/40 You should be using the T6 synthetic. GM will not warrenty the motor with the use of plain old oil i;ve been told. And I find it very difficult to figure out the dipstick.No real "add oil or any other marks.
