?

OK I know from the get go this is opening a can of worms but I still have to ask...
Since Ford has so many fleet customers, is this the reason they can claim to be number one in truck sales?

Ain't seen a Ford yet that I could buy that beat the pricing on Chevrolet or Dodge.

Guess I need to rephrase this... take out fleet sales and where would Ford sit in truck sales?

Ford ain't the only one with fleet sales in their numbers.
  • Add to that they compare all F series which includes F150 to F750 in their count. If you only count 150 thru 350 which is what Chevy and Dodge make then they swap back and forth many times over the 37 years Ford claims to be tops.

  • It's all about value=what you get for what you pay. I guess a lot of people think Ford Trucks are a good value. That doesn't necessarily mean they are the "best," but rather they deliver the most things people want for the least money.

For me, the "best" truck is the one that does the job you need done. That could be a Mazda B3000 or a RAM 3500HD DRW Cummins Diesel. OR, it might even be Ford!
  • They are #1 in "sales" which is a quantity factor, not a quality factor. And yes, I'm sure fleet sales is included in their counting of overall sales.

Is your question rhetorical in nature?
The obvious answer is that they can claim to sell the most trucks if they sell the most trucks.

  • IMO top truck sales numbers only make you #1 in truck sales numbers.

Ask yourself, does McDonalds make the best burgers because they happen to sell the most?
